I just assembled the Fiido Titan and wanted to share my thoughts. I’m coming from a Juiced RipCurrent, which I owned for six years, so I’ve developed certain expectations when it comes to pedal assist (PAS) performance.
The Titan has some great qualities—it’s a fun bike with impressive speed and a bold design that turns heads. However, I’ve struggled with the torque sensor response. It feels weaker and jerkier than I’m used to, almost like I have to apply a lot of consistent torque for the PAS to engage. This ends up feeling closer to a cadence sensor, which I’ve experienced on other bikes. While it’s a bit different, the transition from off to on with PAS is abrupt, rather than the smooth curve I became accustomed to on my previous bike.
I enjoy riding for fitness, where I can go fast but still let my body do most of the pushing, saving the motor for some extra fun on the way home. Other times, I like to cruise slow and relax with low speeds and low assist, where the PAS provides just a light, smooth touch. Unfortunately, the Titan hasn’t delivered the level of refinement I was hoping for in these areas.
I’ve experimented with the Rocket setting and various gear and assist combinations, but I’ve only been able to get smooth, consistent power when engaging the throttle. While the throttle works well, it’s not my preferred riding style, as I only use it occasionally to accelerate at a green light or get up to speed. Without the throttle, the jerkiness of the PAS returns, and unless I’m putting in significant effort on the pedals (around 85% or more, like race mode), the on/off sensation is very noticeable.
I’m hopeful that a software update could address these issues, as I see a lot of potential in the Titan. For riders who prioritize speed and throttle use, this bike could be a great fit. However, as someone who values a smoother torque sensor experience and a more natural ride feel, I’ve found the current setup isn’t quite meeting my needs.
I’ve decided to gift the bike to a family member who will enjoy it, while I continue exploring other options. If there are hidden settings or upcoming updates I may have missed, I’d love to hear about them.
